The short version

Australian eServices Pty Ltd operates this website under the Armidale Stays brand. Independent property owners or accommodation operators supply the accommodation. The website uses Google Analytics, Lodgify provides booking technology, and Stripe processes card payments within the booking journey.

Who we are

Armidale Stays is an accommodation discovery and booking website operated by Australian eServices Pty Ltd (ABN 87 621 410 259) in New South Wales, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Australian eServices Pty Ltd in its role as the website operator.

Accommodation displayed on the website is supplied by independent property owners or accommodation operators. Those suppliers are responsible for providing the accommodation. As website operator,Australian eServices Pty Ltd may still collect, receive or access website analytics, enquiries and booking-related information as described in this policy.

Privacy questions can be sent to contact@armidalestays.com.au.

This policy describes current website and booking practices. It does not make a determination about whether every provision of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to every activity described. We will consider privacy requests under the laws that apply in the circumstances.

Information we handle

Browsing and searches

The website and its hosting services may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser, device, referring page and pages requested. An availability search sends the check-in date, check-out date and total guest count you enter to the booking technology provider.

Bookings

Information entered in a booking interface may include your name, contact details, stay dates, selected accommodation, guest details, messages and booking status. Lodgify collects that information through its booking technology. Relevant details may be accessible to the website operator and shared with the property owner or accommodation operator supplying the stay.

Payments

Card information is entered into the third-party checkout and processed through Stripe as part of the Lodgify booking journey. It is not entered into this Next.js website. The parties involved in the booking may receive payment status, amounts and transaction references rather than full card details.

Enquiries

If you contact us, we receive the contact details and other information you choose to provide, together with the content and timing of the communication. We may pass an enquiry to the relevant property owner or accommodation operator when needed to answer it or support a booking.

How we use information

Information may be used where reasonably needed to:

  • operate, maintain and secure the website and prevent misuse;
  • return live availability and quotes for requested dates and guest numbers;
  • respond to enquiries and provide information about accommodation or an existing booking;
  • facilitate reservations, payments and communications through the relevant providers and accommodation supplier;
  • understand website use and booking intent through analytics; and
  • meet applicable accounting, dispute-resolution or legal requirements.

Please do not send payment card details by email. If you provide information about another guest, you should have their permission to do so.

Analytics and cookies

When a valid Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured, the website loads Google Analytics to help understand visits and booking intent. Google Analytics may process information about pages viewed, device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral information and interactions with the website. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are disabled in the website configuration.

The website records page views, accommodation views, availability searches, selection of available accommodation and handoffs to Lodgify checkout. Event context can include a Lodgify rental ID, accommodation name, selected dates, guest count, search outcome and available accommodation count. A checkout handoff is not reported as a purchase or completed booking.

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and related identifiers to distinguish users and sessions. You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings, although doing so may affect how some website or third-party booking features work.

Google describes its current Analytics data and cookie practices in its Analytics privacy information.

Booking, payment and technology providers

Lodgify supplies the live availability, quote, Booking Box, checkout and reservation technology used by the website. Information entered in those interfaces is transmitted to and processed through Lodgify. See the Lodgify privacy policy.

Stripe processes card payment and transaction data within the booking journey. Stripe explains its handling of that information in the Stripe privacy policy.

The relevant property owner or accommodation operator may receive booking, guest, enquiry and payment-status information needed to respond to the guest and supply the accommodation.

Google processes website analytics data. Vercel provides website hosting and may process ordinary infrastructure, performance and security request data. Provider handling is governed by their own terms and privacy notices, including the Vercel privacy notice.

Storage and security

Information is held in the systems needed for the relevant purpose. These may include website records, communications and the systems operated by the booking, payment, analytics and hosting providers described above. Service-provider infrastructure and subprocessors can change, so this policy does not state unverified processing locations.

There is no single retention period for every category. Retention depends on the type of information, the booking or enquiry, operational needs and applicable accounting, dispute or legal requirements. This policy does not state an unverified fixed retention period.

We use access controls and the security features of the systems used to operate the website and booking journey. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you believe information connected with the website or a booking has been misused.
